where music of black origin and global grooves meet the electronic future

In collecting and presenting the Global SoulJah sound I am basically filtering the world of music through my own filters that are highly influenced by jazz & funk, soul voices and modern dance music, though I am completely open minded musically. The sound that emerges is a unique blend of world music, classic black grooves & modern beats which is great for dancing as well as for listening. I respect traditional music whilst being open to the possibilities that are now open in this age of modern music production. It is not a purist sound and it is not solely for the modernists, it is just what I consider to be good music.
The Global SoulJah sound is music that comes from the hearts and souls of musicians and producers from all five continents and it is my pleasure to help spread the work of these often underground, disparate voices. In the process I would like to think that maybe it fosters an appreciation of what different cultures have to offer each other and opens a few peoples ears to the depth of music available if you are prepared to look past the more commercial offerings endlessly thrust your way.
